| Winners Announced in Nebraska Tourism Byways Geopicting Contest |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LINCOLN, NEB. (Dec. 22, 2009) — The Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division has announced the final two quarterly winners in its yearlong byways geopicting contest. The winning geopics were selected through online balloting on the Tourism Division’s Web site, www.VisitNebraska.gov. Harry Reitz’s amazing images of a Nebraska sunset was captured just north of the Heritage Highway in the south central part of the state. Ken Stanley’s image of an iconic windmill in a field was snapped outside of Coker, just off the Lincoln Highway Scenic & Historic Byway. For their winning photos, both men will be able to select from one of the following prizes: Ross Sukup’s panoramic geopic taken off the Outlaw Trail Scenic Byway and Bruce Hoye’s image of a sunset over the Platte River, off the Lincoln Highway Scenic & Historic Byway were the first two contest winners. The final round of voting has begun at www.visitnebraska.gov/geopict. Voting will continue until Jan. 15, 2010. The grand prize winner will receive a laptop computer valued at $1,000.
