Voting has commenced for the four finalists in the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division yearlong byways geopicting contest.  The winning geopics were selected through online balloting on the Tourism Division’s Web site, www.VisitNebraska.gov.

The four finalists are:

• Ross Sukup, who took a panoramic photo off the Outlaw Trail Scenic Byway
• Bruce Hoye, who took an image of a sunset over the Platte River, near the Lincoln Highway Scenic & Historic Byway
• Harry Reitz, who snapped an image of a Nebraska sunset north of the Heritage Highway
• Ken Stanley, who took an image of a windmill off the Lincoln Highway Scenic & Historic Byway

Voting is open to the public and can be accessed at www.visitnebraska.gov/geopict. Voting will continue until Jan. 15, 2010.  The grand prize winner will receive a laptop computer valued at $1,000.
